2016: PBC Titles Final Results

A great weekend with two full days of racing on Lake Walyungup. Competitors were eager once more to continue the 20 planned races for this weekends PBC Land Sailing Titles.

Queensland Duo, Bernie & Judy Cox, represented the Sunshine State and sailed incredibly well as shown in the results. As both of our interstate guests had already competed on Lake Walyungup in the Blokart World Championships in 2014, it didn’t take long to gain speed and show WA how its done.

Judy, sailing Production, was placing 1st and 2nd during the event with PBC’s own, Jason Phillips, however a couple of extra wins kept her in front. Bernie was consistently in the top half of Performance placings and was awarded 2nd in Blokart Performance and 3rd in overall. Go team!

Sandgroper, Phil Myles, makes his presence known not only in good character but with serious skill in his 5.6mini class yacht. He managed to keep at the pointy end of all but one race when a minor (major) tyre puncture forced him in to the pits during Race 15 but his competitive streak and adopted sail lead Phil to first place overall. Well done!

Our club is certainly looking forward to future regattas on the Lake. Keep an eye on the Calendar for more.
